Sunbeam Alpine Restoration of the body shell Part II The Bodywork.

Tim R

Silver Level Sponsor
This video details how we took our Alpine from bare metal to being ready for the body shop then how we protected the freshly painted body work once she had been resprayed.
We are not professionals, this video is just a record of what we did to restore our car. If it seems that we have been 'over the top' in protecting her remember that we live right beside the sea and the atmosphere here is extremely corrosive. Even our stainless steel items in the kitchen go rusty! If we did not go to extreme lengths to protect this car she would start to rust away very quickly.
This 53 year old mild steel Alpine will live outside in this very challenging environment and will be driven most days regardless of weather, that is why we have taken so much effort to try to protect her as well as we can.

We hope that this video is of interest and of use to others.
