My steering wheel rattles around a lot, apparently due to a sloppy felt bushing. The housing for this bushing seems to be pressed in to the steering column, so removing it to replace the bushing looks like it will be difficult at best... there's nothing to grab onto. Anybody have experience with this? I'll live with the rattle if disassembling the entire steering column is the only way to get at the bushing. Or design my own auxilliary bushing to be mounted on the end of the column just forward of the turn indicator cancel dog. I'd use something a little more substantial than felt.
