Looking for suitable replacement metal clips for the side trim? Don't trust the plastic ones and not sure about the adhesive tape. Any suggestions? .... Photos and some dimensions of the original clips would be great as I have some souce's to check.

Thanks, David

The plastic ones have stayed on my car with no issues well over 120mph several times , 5 years and counting.

I haven't had issues with the plastic ones in the 20 years they've been on. I will however say that they're basically one use clips as they tend to break if you don't remove the trim just right if taking it off for some reason.

David,

When you say side trim, you mean the alpine scripts, shields? Or are you talking tiger stainless side trim?

The white plastic is PVC or other non sunlight resistant plastic and is really frustrating to use and easily comes off/breaks while car washing etc. I have used the ground down screw near the problem areas the ends and plastic elsewhere.

I've got some plastic clips and a box of ss screws left over if any body wants by the way if your clever you can use the screw deal everywhere.
