Steve, Thanks for bringing me up to speed with this thread. Yes that does sound a good way of resolving the built-in weakness of these axles. I have sent you picture of the complete LSD diff. Perhaps you can post it for me. I don't have a picture of it on its own and will have to digout the ramp angle info.

As regards the Peykan, it is true that they never changed the axle. This guy was sending them out year after year as a complete assembly including diff, half shafts and brakes ready to bolt straight on to the springs, prop shaft and brake lines etc. I was amazed when I found out.
