As mentioned they are used on the rear guards of tigers and at the bottom of the front guards on late 50's Sunbeam MK3's (Talbots)

There are various repros that have been done over time and they are still available from Sunbeam Specialties and Classic Sunbeam stateside.. so that might help you with a guiding price.
