My SV is fitted with an engine immobiliser. The ignition will only operate when the proxmity dowicky is within range of the sensor loop. It's tucked up behind the dash and there's a flashing LED on the dash. Very effective and inconspicuous.

Mmmm, whilst the photo of the parts on display could be described as "attractively laid out" the actual subject matter rates 11/10 for hideousness. Kinda like an Alpine with mudflaps AND chrome ladies...............
