Restoring Hardtop and Need Guidance

My hardtop just returned from the paintshop and I will be putting it all back together as a winter project. It's white on the blue body. I will need some help/guidance on getting the headliner properly installed. I did a search but need to see the instructions that many referred to. Does anyone have a copy of the plans/instructions they cam share?

Jan, I do have an upholstery steamer, or rather my wife does, and she wuill let me use it! 8~)

Does anyone have instructions on how to install a new headliner? I haven't seen the inside of a restored hardtop and am a little lost!

Instructions? It’s more based on experience & planning than anything. Usually, on sedans, I think the rear is installed first and then pulled forward. On our removable hardtops, I would center the headliner both laterally & longitudinal (make sure the seams are centered on the bows, so you have some movement) and tack it down with contact cement down the center (tack it down both front & back in the center), and then work it out to the sides. Try different directions of pull to get the most wrinkles out. Then secure all sides down and then use you steamer to get the last wrinkles out.
