Pulling S2 wire wheel hubs just to find poor workmanship...

Just wanted to share my today's Entertainment. Pulling S2 wire wheel hubs almost as described in the WSM. Both popped loose w/o press usage, but one side halfshaft appearantly mistreated by former Workshop. Obviously they (mis-)used a press earlier. The nut was only partially on, so they used double washers to somehow hold the hub. Oil splash shim was also missing. Whole halfshaft had lot of play sideways. Now I know why:

Yes it is an original hub puller plus the matching locker tool. Took me 25+ years to find a set. Works a treat. Only things I had to fabricate myself were the locking bar ( a cut starter handle) plus the thread extensions (2x 7/16" threaded rods cut into halves). First time to try on wire wheel hubs. Here from another angle:
