how right you r. Upon closer look the Autolites are flat seat HOWEVER they can't be correct cause of the issue of there only being space between tween head and plug to slip in a piece of paper. I guess I will check for NGK TR5 with no taper. While incorrect teh car ran fine on AUtolites.

Now the car has a hard time starting and the only thing that I changed were the valve covers and installing a new accelerator pump on the Holley and of course the plugs. So I went to the only hot rod shop within 200 miles and Mike was real helpful. The NGK TR5 are in fact correct. So anyone want a virtually new set of Autolites free just pay for the shipping. thanks for the help.
