Was the aluminum head and valve cover left "aluminum" in color . . . or was it originally painted the same color as the cast engine block ?

The alloy components on the motor, head, manifold, thermo housing, rocker cover, and any other auxil's are natural finshed.

All these itmes can be polished for more of a show presentation. it is comon tho polish the rocker cover and on the early cars the header tank.
