OD Engagement Ratio

I believe their was a formula to use when calculating MPH when OD is engaged, 3.89 axle ratio, and 23.2 tire diameter. Can someone supply that to me so I can check my speedo for accuracy at different RPM's? Thanks Brent

Brent,

Try this link. I think it will give your requested information.

http://www.csgnetwork.com/rpmcalc.html

If your rear axle is 3.89:1, then the final drive ratio with O/D is 3.12:1.
If your rear axle is 4.22:1, then the final drive ratio with O/D is 3.39:1.

O/D ratio for an Alpine should be approx. .80:1.

HTH,

Also in the book has a complete list of all the differences, and speeds for each gear. That is a good tip on the csgnet site also. Thanks for that one!!
