We made it home nice and easy. There and back with no issues this year! What a change. Ann Marie and I had a great time once again, a little more relaxed this year (OK, a lot more relaxed)

We actually participated in Saturday's driving event this year, some gorgeous Sunbeam roads, with tons of sun.

It was great to see the familiar faces, all welcoming us back with open arms. Also great to meet many new faces, some even sans road worthy Alpines and looking for inspiration. As Scott mentioned at the banquet I hope we all made you feel welcome and part of the family and provided any needed advice or motivation.

Here's a pic of Bev Bonner from the informal tour, she sure brought a entertaining spark to the proceedings. Bev, we hope you and Hyacinth arrive home safe and sound.

more pics in the webshots album.

Hey, tell us about Bev's passenger.

Bill

Bev picked up a harmless but lonely bachelor who was living there at the host hotel. Somehow he stuck with our group and ended up being her navigator on the driving tour. When she found out he wasn't part of us she got a little concerned. We escorted him back to the hotel and said goodbye and that was it.

However, it served as a reminder to all of us that name tags are mandatory and that you shouldn't let anybody into your Alpine unless they have the name tag. We'll rectify that situation in future Invasions.

Hi Bill this man got a ride from some one to Ian's and when another member asked another member to ride as a passenger and Larry that was his name told us he wanted to go too. Thinking he was a member the actual member called over to me and said "Hey Bev you have an extra seat." I said sure thinking he was a member. Later we found out he was not. No one knew him. He was just lonely and wanted to go with the group. Harmless just alone. The only problem was that he didn't want to leave the party.
