Hurricane Elsa

They have us working from home today due to the approaching storm. Probably will not be much more than wind gusts and rain here; just have to listen to weather alerts for tornado watches and warnings for most of the day.

Mike, are you in Florida? Elsa is tracking up the eastern seaboard coast to Nova Scotia. Thanks for sharing the weather, now if you could share warm February weather with us next winter, that would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I’m in northeast Florida, near Jacksonville. It seems King’s Bay submarine base in Georgia took a good hit. Campers in the base’s campground were tossed around. I only got about 2.5” of rain from the storm at my house. There were a few waterspouts and tornadoes in the area.

It appears the only storm related fatality in Florida was the result of a tree limb falling on a car on a road in Jacksonville. Killed a young sailor assigned to a P-8 squadron, VP-16, at NAS Jacksonville.
