HLM interior

Here is one for the specialists again. Just bought a set of HLM interior parts in UK and found 2 strange things as follows:

- The rear seat squab features a foldable integrated stay (my other one doesn´t)
- The rear panel is way higher than my other one

The guy I bought the set from had no clue since he bought everything within an Alpine parts lot. Assume all those parts are from a very late series HLM. Any clue or comments ?

they are not lemans pieces . the side panels are what appears to be from a type c or type d .they appear to be very similar to the panels in rick kellet's type D that i just saw at the bash last saturday . the lemans also have the piece to support the back seat fastened to the floor and it raises to support the seat back .

jan, i don't think it's a sunbeam color . it looks to be an odd shade of tan with a tinge of pink ? wonder how faded it is ?

Seems 65beam is correct. Seemingly the backrest came from a Series D. It also features the same hinge mechanism as on the HLM .

Regarding the colour it´s a bright beige leather. Perhaps the camera gave it a bit pinkish look, but it looks as it was applied originally.

What still puzzles me are the higher rear & side panels...

Not sure what to do with it but if anyone knows a guy restoring a Series D (know it´s extremely rare)...

the d type did not have the flat floor over the trunk area like the lemans. that's why the panels drop down at the back to cover the fuel tank area on both sides . they go to what is the trunk floor on the series 4 .

The more I think about it the more sense it makes. Thanks for the hints. I´m now 100% sure the set originally came from Series D.

Anyone still having a matching roof standing around ? Would be a good starting point...

can you tell me where in the UK you procured these? Webaddress?
I've been trying to find seat kits for my Hillman Husky with 'no joy' on this end of the pond.

Thanks in advance,
Cris

Bought them on a UK Club event from a private guy, so no dealership nor web address. Seat kits for a Husky sounds difficult. Perhaps worthwhile to try directly via the Hillman clubs in UK...

Thanks for the tip.
I've been googleUK'ing my ass off with no joy.
I'll try the hillman UK variation this weekend.

Thanks again,
Cris
