Dear John and Bob,

Thank you both once again for providing us fellow Sunbeamers with much humorous and impassioned forum posting. I look forward each day to see what you two scallywags have been up to, for me it is a source of much enjoyment.

Without folks such as yourselves Sunbeam ownership wouldn't be nearly as entertaining. Can you imagine anyone getting this excited over the interior lamp in a Toyota Corolla..................me neither.

You are missing the point of this particular sub-forum. We are only interested in what was "factory" and that is the point almost all of the responders understand. A few don't, and seem to be oblivious to what is supposed to be discussed here. If you or anyone else wants to make modifications or do things to your car other than "factory" then please respond in one of the other sub-forums.

Thank you one and all. As the author of this and another thread on the subject, I have enjoyed the argy bargy and the passion that clearly grips the Alpine fellowship.
Have my questions been answered? I think so.
My lamp is definately original.
The wiring is routed through the windscreen rubber and
The door switches occupy the bottom right/left screw hole.

Having spent the weekend replacing heater hoses, cleaning and re-mounting the heater core, replacing various firewall grommets and adding interor lamp wiring I have had quite a good time all in all.

May we consider this thread is at an end?
