While changing my water pump recently I managed to spill/drip some coolant and it got under the sheetmetal. I could see it thru the two little holes. Took me a while to get it cleaned and dried out. I inspected the whole unit and saw some light thin traces of rust above the weld on the passenger side.

We drive thru puddles and rain and I was wondering if water collects there and can weaken the crossmember. Anyone think of sealing the crossmember or am I just over worrying?
