Early hood on a SIV?

Will the hood from a S1-3 fit on a SIV? It has the rounded corners and I was wondering if it is the same.

Good day,
Yes, the hood will fit. In fact even a later hood would fit, you need only to cut off the square corners.

Yep. The only difference would be the hinges and where the prop rod connects. Series 3 is the same hood (with a hole for the hood badge)
Cheers!

As I understand it, the bolt holes in the hinges are in the same place, but the hinges in the SI did not open as far as the later cars.

Any round corner hood should fit on a series II, although depending on the car the hood prop bracket may nee to be moved and a relief for the header tank knocked into the hood framing. A later hood will also work if you make the same changes and round off the square corners to fit. You'll of course need to weld and grind or otherwise fill the cuts where you removed the square corners.
