What is the correct color for the e-brake operator handle. The one in my car is kinda of a motly silver, and I wanted to clean it up since I have it out of the car at this point.

My parts book no longer exists but this has been looked up before.
I recall hammertone silver for the SIV--at some point this changed to black.
Early series may have had chrome.
A side question pertains to the color of the release button---silver or black?

That would explain the current color-- the "hammer" is still there, but the "tone" has worn off.
