After being parked for 2 years, my '62 Series II is back on the road, thanks largely to the fine rebuilding work done by Jeff Schlemmer at Advanced Distributors in Shakopee, MN. He installed a new bushing (rejected the one I got from Moss due to its poor quality), installed a Pertonics electronic Ignitor, rebuilt the leaking vacuum advance, installed new mechanical advance springs, and generally made it look and run like new. Parts, labor, & 1 way shipping was $144. He turned it around in 2 days, so with shipping both ways from/to California it was 9 days, including a weekend.

I am very pleased with the work he did and recommend him highly.

For that price I assume you supplied the Pertronix. Sounds like a very fair deal. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yes, I did supply the Pertronix. I bought the Ignitor from The Car Shop, Inc.

However, Jeff does carry them in stock. I had ordered it before I discovered Advanced Distributors. He was more than willing to install my supplied parts. As I mentioned, he took one look at the bushing I had gotten from Moss and refused to use it. It has since been returned to Moss for a refund.
