Hey everyone,
1. rebuilt both carbs..placed and replaced 3x on manifold

2.major leakof gas out of #1 carb(closest to the radiator)..appears to come out the back closest to the manifold..however fittings are very secure..new gaskets..

3. float bowl secure
4. gas lines connections

mechanic friend suggested stuck floats..I don't see a problem..

also thought a jet might be bad..new grose jet just installed.

Thanx for your thoughts in advance..

Johnny

p.s. would an incorrectly adjusted choke possibly be the problem?

The Grosse jet is not a jet, but rather a needle and seat.

Ive heard these tend to leak, or not work like they are supposed, so
if this is true, would act like your floats are leaky or maladjusted.

A leaking float would be my guess, too. (I've never had a problem with the Grose jets) You didn't happen to install a new electric fuel pump at the same time? It doesn't take much pressure to overwhelm the needle valves or Gross jets.

I had the same problem after a rebuild.....CHECK your fuel pressure...install a fuel pressure regulator if nessary...solved my fuel leak out the vent (in the back closest to the manifold)
