I received the following email today on my SAOCA account:

My name is Glenn Abbott and I'm on the Vehicle Selection Committee for the Eyes on Design Car Show. The show is held every year on Father's Day at the Edsel Ford Estate in Grosse Pointe Shores, MI. I have been trying to locate a 1959 Series 1 Alpine or a '53-'55 Mark I / Mark III for a class I'm assembling for this year's show. I was wondering if you know of any in the Detroit area (or Michigan/Ohio) whose owner might consider displaying it. I would be very appreciative of any help you can give me.

Thanks for your time.

Glenn

Anyone who is interested should contact Glenn directly at gwabbott@comcast.net.

The cars on display are at this show are absolutely fantastic as is the location. Jean and I had the red Harrington there several years ago.

I have exchanged several emails with him and have also contacted a few proper Alpine owners through TEAE. No commitments yet.
