Does anyone have a source for bullet style door mirrors which attach from the top with sheet metal screws?

Did you get your mirrors?

Yes I got the mirrors.I must say I'm very pleased. They come assembled with the long base.If you wish the short base you just remove the long base. The long and short gaskets are included.
These are the exact same as available for Sunbeams

Hi Chuck! Can they be mounted without pulling the door skins or do they mount from underneath? Thanks!

They mount with a metal screw. My cars are inside and really never left alone for too long or there is a fellow car person next to me.On the 62 I just wanted to get them on so I used the screws.I will do the following as I have done in the past.
As to make secure you can use a bolt with the same type tapered head. removing the interior panel and double nut with lock nuts. This will prevent in most cases someone stealing them.Oh yes be sure to put a decent size metal plate to prevent someone ripping them off.The plate should be quite a bit larger and at least 1/16th thick.Hammer shape to fit the inside curve.

Thanks Chuck! Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, they could be mounted with sheet metal screws (without pulling the door skins), but it would be a better idea to use bolts. Also, how long and wide is the gasket for the long base? I want to make sure that it'll cover the holes from the existing mirror. Thanks again!

The base is 5 inches long and 1 inch at the widest. The screw holes are about 3.5 inches apart.Think of a long narrow oval with the end tapering for the base..
Thats the best I can describe it
Now to start taking the big pots with plants we winter out and getting some space back.Lots of yard work now.Thank goodness we only have 1/2 acre.

Thanks Chuck! They should do the trick.
I agree with you on the yardwork. Just came in from starting to clean up the back yard. Looks like spring has finally arrived in the Great White North!
