Brake & clutch adjustable pedals ?

I have two sets of adjustable pedals, one set is flat on the top and bottom of the foot pads and the other set has oval foot pads. My Ser II has the flat on the top and bottom pads. What series had flats and what series had oval? My plan is the modify a set to give me more foot room and I would hate to cut up a hard to find set and not be able to find the rubber pads for them.

They changed right around the series IV to V changeover. Don't know if it was supposed to be exactly at that point or a little earlier but my May 65 build series IV had the ones that are squared off on top and bottom. Neither type is particularly rare. You could probably get a second set of pedals secondhand and swap them easier than changing the shape of the metal footpad, just disconnect the master pushrods, remove the top master bolts and then the bolts from the engine side of the firewall and they drop out.
