Alpine Racers in the PNW

Hello All,

I'm new to this forum and still learning my way around. My question is, does anyone on this forum race an Alpine in the Pacific Northwest, say Washington state?
I would like to meet up sometime at maybe PIR or SIR and the RiversEdge in BC to talk Alpine racing. I'm wanting to maybe historic or vintage race an Alpine in the near future and would help with my car development.
Kind regards,

Steve

Steve,

John Rankin ran a yellow Alpine in the PNW but I know he sold it - but I can't recall who bought it. I don't know if it has been running any events lately.

It was a very nice car and had a mighty powerful engine if I recall (maybe bored out 0.080" and running Chevy rods - I thought.

I think Paul Archer owns it now. It is yellow and very nicely prepared. He checks in here occaisionally. There is a great red one in Spokane that comes to SOVREN events periodically. Very well prepared but I have not seen it go very fast yet. Looks quick though. There is also a White SI or II around that showed up last year, dead stock and a little worn but kept running. Come on out to our May race (SOVREN.org) and work turns to see what is around, would love to have you there. If mine hasn't rusted to bits in this lousy weather by then, I will drive it out (not a racer tho).

Paul blew that motor to bits about 2 years ago and has another that actually runs better.
