Hey, I'm looking at buying a 63 Series 3 ST. It is in pretty good shape, however I'm questioning the trunk lid. See photo. It is not fitting very good. Could this be a differnt series lid or can the latch be adjusted???

Ap photo of the rear of the car will help.. the adjustment on these can go out and also the inner skin sometimes gets a kink near where the boot hinges mount and that lifts that side of the boot (very comon).. a elevatino pic would help and one showing the top surface.

Does the right side of the trunk lid look the same as this one as to how it fits to the body? If not either the trunk lid is warped/twisted or someone put on a rear quarter panel and didn't line things up... Got any more photos? Eric

The trunk is even on both sides. When I push down on the lid it is kind of spongy but lines up pretty good. It almost seems like the weather stripping is too thick. That is why I think a slight adjustment with the latch, if possible would work. No more photos of the rear end. I will look at the car again Saturday.
