'55-'57 Alpine - DR1 windscreen wiper motor grommet available

received this email about a repop grommet for Mark Alpines.

Does anyone know about DR1 wiper motor use in Rootes vehicles? Which vehicles?

We, the Aston Martin Feltham Club often have parts made and our latest effort is the rather complex rubber no-longer-available grommet used on the Lucas DR1 windscreen wiper motor - and possibly others. The cost is US$25 each which is in line with other such complex items except ours will be better in urethane. We understand the DR1 was used on 1955-57 Sunbeams?

The Aston Martin Feltham Club is pleased to announce the price reduction of the 740722 Lucas grommet used on the Lucas DR! windscreen wiper motor from US$25 to US$15. This reduction was a result of demand.

Lucas DR1 windscreen wiper aluminium label

The Aston Martin Feltham Club can now offer the aluminium Lucas label as used on DR1 windscreen wiper motors. Unlike some other offers they are curved and have rounded corners as per the original. Price is US$15 each.

"55-57 Sunbeams" may refer to the Mark Alpines, but the years are wrong of course ('53-'55). I think the Sunbeam Mk III's were made from around '55-to late '56, so it could be for those. Or it could very well fit both.
