Selling all of my Alpine stuff. Everything goes as a package - $8500.
Located in Northwest suburb of Chicago.

I bought my first Alpine in 2011 when I didn't like my job and needed this for fun.
I got to the point where the chassis was ready for the paint/body shop for minor sheet metal work and paint.
I don't have this expertise and this is when I ran out of interest.
I no longer have the un-interesting job (i.e. recently retired) and have too many other things I want to do.
So it is time to sell everything to someone that can carry forward with this project and enjoy the fun.
I purchased the green Alpine (my driver car) in 2011 (I'm still friends with the previous owner).
The previous owner had media blasted the green car and repainted it in the early 80's, but drove it very little keeping it garaged. His wife finally told him it had to go.
Soon after I purchased the driver I discovered there was some frame damage on the front drivers side (yes, I was a novice Alpine owner).
So I purchased the rolling chassis (a California car) and proceeded with the goal of rebuilding the rolling chassis and transferring parts from the driver to the chassis to end up with a car that was solid (or as solid as an Alpine can be).

Note that I'm sell all of this as a group.
What is included:

1966 Alpine (395005464 LRX 100) 46,342 miles on the speedometer (No idea if correct).
Engine and transmission match the VIN.
Rebuild engine at 43,888 so 2454 miles on the rebuild.
Rebuilt seats and recovered seats.
Rebuilt the Tach and Speedometer.

1966 Alpine on rotisserie (B395011509 LRX 100) was purchased as a rolling chassis. This was a California car and has almost no rust.
This vehicle came with a windshield and frame, a steering box, steering linkages, clutch master, brake master, door mechanics (handles, locks, windows and mechanisms, and gas tanks.
The sheet metal has dings on all 4 corners, but the frame is solid.
I built the rotisserie from a couple of harbor freight engine stands. These go with the car. I added temporary re-enforcements to the Alpine door frames to prevent
sagging while the car was on the rotisserie.
I removed all parts from this chassis, replaced the drivers floor pan (I have a spare passenger pan, but it didn't need to be replaced), and had the chassis media blasted and epoxy primed.
The engine compartment and the undercarriage have extra coats of epoxy primer on them so no additional paint work is needed there if so desired.
Rebuilt and re-installed the rear pumpkin and axle. In the pumpkin used grade 7 bolts in rebuild and red thread locker to prevent vibration issues.
Rebuilt front suspension (replaced bushings, added strengthing welds, etc). Will install the suspension so it can be taken off the rotisserie.
I won't torque the front bushing nuts since this needs to be done under full weight.
Rebuilt steering box and installed in car. Will connect up steering components after front suspension re-installed.
The seat rails of the drivers floor pan have not been installed. I fabricated these, but I have not welded them in yet.

For all of the parts removed from the 2 vehicles, I media blasted and primed (with epoxy in most cases) them. This has been done for all parts except for the window mechanisms and ragtop frame.
All not parts not re-installed have been wrapped and are in plastic tubs.
I have re-assembled many of the stand-alone components (windshield wiper, defroster boxes, speedometer, tachometer, oil gauge, etc.) and wrapped them and placed in tubs.
As I have rebuild stuff I have been replacing all of the bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, gaskets, etc.

The overdrive transmission is a non-synchro overdrive I purchased from Jeff Howarth, who is/was the premier supplier of rebuild overdrives.
This has not been installed. This includes the additional overdrive switch.
The pumpkin from the rotisserie car has a 3.889 ratio (older SV pumpkin has a 4.22 ratio) since it was a newer SV. When combined with the overdrive this will give equivalent of the S3 with overdrive.
The S3 with overdrive gives the lowest RPM on the highway.

Additional information:
Replaced the dual Stromberg carb system with a Weber.
Power booster is currently installed but not functional.
I purchased, but did not yet install the recommended Nissan F10 dual master cylinder (Cardone Remanufactured Brake Master Cylinders 11-1840.
Ran new copper alloy brake lines.
In the driver car, when coasting the transmission will slip out of 3rd gear (a standard problem for the vehicles).
I have an upgraded wiring harness and fuse box from Pete's Performance Wiring (Was run by Paul A. on this forum). This has not been installed.

I also have a lot of the hardware needed for re-installation of the components. All purchased from Sunbeam Specialties if possible.
The previous owner included carpeting, door panels, the convertible canvas, and a luggage rack. These are still boxed

Everything is in plastic tubs and labelled. I even have a spreadsheet listing 95% of what I have.
I'm going to post pictures

You can PM if you need additional information.2020-08-11 09-58-27 - 0082.JPG 2020-08-11 10-01-07 - 0085.JPG

Is no one interested? Dropping the prices to $7000.
I want to get to this sold so if interested, make an offer.
The rolling chassis is off the rotisserie and ready to be loaded on a trailer with all my other Alpine stuff.

Mike
