SOLD – Nearly complete Series I

I was just speaking to a guy in Ohio who has a Series I he's asking $1000 for. He claims it was "running when parked" quite a few years ago and is complete. I know nothing beyond what I'm posting so if you have interest, dial 1.330.441.2769, ask for Don, and tell him you're calling about the...

Large stash of various 'Brit parts (cars)

Yesterday I followed up on a parts lead about a Alpine vintage racer/parts and, while there, also came across a huge parts hoard of British parts and some cars. This guy was a ‘Brit car specialist for 40 years so he may have stuff for practically any marque. I saw tons of Bugeye Sprite stuff and...

    Alpine vintage racer

While following up on a parts lead yesterday, I came across this car. The owner was well-known, as he ran an import repair shop in Middletown PA for decades (mainly British cars) until he closed a few years ago. I recall seeing the car making the Hershey hill climb years ago. It has been stored...

    Softening a brittle tool roll

I have an original tool roll that has hardened and become brittle. Soaking in warm water softens it but it stiffens up within minutes of removal. I've read where mineral oil can help restore pliability to old vinyl. Any suggestions? Thx, Mark

    Automatic Alpine

Gettings. I recently met a guy who is seriously looking for a running/driving Alpine with an automatic gearbox. He is no longer able to drive a 4-speed so he needs an automatic. A Series IV with a factory box is preferred, but he's okay with another Series that's had a transplant. Located in...

eBay: Series 3 with a Series II VIN B9112356

Just a heads-up: Now on eBay is auction 334840233745, a Series 3ST Alpine claimed to be a Series II. The seller claims the VIN is B9112356 and that it comes with a “clean title”. But based on the few (5) pics offered, the body presents obviously as a later-production car and has likely had a VIN...

    New tool roll straps

Check out the tool roll straps I have available that were meticulously remade from an original. This second round was made 1" longer due to some guys feeling the first ones were a tad short for Tiger and for Alpine rolls with a grease gun. A well-known Sunbeam restorer in New England recently...

    MKI Tiger on Facebook B9472249

Yesterday a Tig popped up on FB Marketplace, having went unsold after 2 rounds on eBay. I'm sure I've seen this car for sale in the past based on the valance entirely missing and the gawd-awful hood: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3315103728749932 The car presents as an authentic...

    Nearly complete 1725 engine

I'm trying to reclaim one of my storage garages and have an engine to give away to the first taker. The stamping indicates it's a 1725 from a long-gone Hillman Minx VI. I've had it so long I don't know its condition or even where I got it. Here's what I can tell you: Nearly complete less the...

    Large lot of parts

Earlier this week I made a trip to the Bedford, PA area to look over a large stash of Alpine parts for sale. The seller is looking to sell the entire lot for one money but I just don’t have the space, otherwise I would have bought them. To his credit, he did let me buy a few things since I made...

    Removing SII dust cover

Its been a long time since I've torn down an early front suspension. Everything has come apart as expected but I can't figger out how to separate either brake dust cover from the spindles. I've removed the small nut from the threaded stud but don't see any possible hardware that could be holding...
