    Sheet metal gauge

    I'm in the process of repairing the body of my 66 Alpine and i'm trying to get a handle on the correct gauge of sheet metal used on the fenders, floor, trunk...you get the idea. My best measurement says its about 20 gauge. I'm also not sure what the best metal is. Any suggestions? Thanks.
