Using a 1976 MGB rack, does anyone know The THREAD SIZE on the inner tie rods ? need to get "Tie rod ends" (Non Tapered 7/16") or "Heim" Joints to fit the flat steel steering arms I am having To MAKE to fit my series 2 Spindles. Thanks

thanks. I "got" and then decided against the Speedway arms. they would have to be cut down and re-welded to 2.25" bolt centers. then, needing heim ends, then the "welding shop" was giving me a hard time saying he wouldn't" Cut and weld" Steering arms ! so, back to Making steering arms to hopefully use the MGB ends. everything about this series 2 front end is a PIA. but I'm so far in.....

ENDED UP USING '76 MGB RACK, "inner" tie rods are now both bent about 30 degrees, and "re- threaded" to 14x1.5 so they fit the 2.5" LONGER 2002 mustang "tie rod ends". the original steering Arms are turned around and the tie rod end HOLE is being reamed to fit the 2002 mustang tie rod ends. It is all working out very well so far. next is "the telescopic" double U-Joint steering shaft "extension" going to the column. Still "looking for" a Tiger column, but "MAY" end up using a Tilt column from something else.
