I talked to a long time Tiger guy who after a recent extensive "tune up", now has a Tiger that puts out 593 HP to the REAR WHEELS!

The car retains it's rather mild look, with it's 205 wide Tires.

I'm assuming the Tire man and Long time Tiger guy will become frequent and good friends.

I don't know all the details.

I do know it has a blower.

And I can guess it is a total aftermarket engine with a big bore and stroke.

This Tiger was a very early adopter of aftermarket FI, so I'm sure it has that.

And other injected "stuff" to keep the boost from melting down the mill.

I figured it either had forced induction or massive displacement. Either one had to be tricky to shoe horn in there.

I’m flirting with the idea of using a coyote motor.......

A short-deck SBF engine barely fits in a seriously modified Series Alpine (aka, a Tiger). The Coyote is a nice engine, but it is about 6" taller and 8" wider than a short-deck SBF engine. As Casey said, "You could look it up."

Never say never, but there wouldn't be much "Alpine" in front of the windshield.

Oh I hear ya. That’s why I said flirting. Trouble is the more people say it can’t be done the more I want to do it..... Im going to have a Coyote engine in the shop for a cougar conversion I’m doing so I’ll be taking a long hard look at that re the alpine

Ok.. Silly me missed the bit at the top.. Correctwd RWHP ... Wondwr what ratio they were using.
That would be one very throttle sensitive ride

600 HP at the rear wheels would be about 750 HP at the crankshaft. A decent naturally aspirated 347 stroker SBF should make 400 - 450 HP at the crankshaft, so something like 12 PSI of boost should make 750 HP. That boost level and no intake charge cooling would almost certainly require race gas.

Drove with him on the club auto x . Tight course still handled like a Tiger no hook up no go.... but fun to spin the wheels.
