If you want to go with a new TS switch they make one new for the TR4, TR6 that can be custom mounted inside the steering column cover. That worked for me on a S2. See EBay -

This is a turn signal only. It's not a perfect solution but it is a new, functional TS that will fit inside the steering column cover of an S2.
