Dan:

I see that in the article he used a Quick Fuel 450 instead of a Holley 390 cfm for the swap.
What's your take on the suitability of either for the 2.8 conversion.

Just take a look at the height of that CArb!! Wow!

Doug, the owner is looking to add a scoop I believe.

From all I've read including the Sven Pruitt Book on the 2.8 and on up the 390 Holley is more than enough carb for the engine. I am more than happy with mine!

Don't know where it is, but a good write up was made on how to determine the appropriate carb for a specific engine. Do a search on the web or hang on, bet someone will give you lots of data on it soon. Here's a link: https://speedmaster79.com/tools/carburetor-size-needed

Yes, Sven's book is all about using the 390 cfm Holley, Jose says so too, and apparently you have done it. I was just curious if you had recommended Doug Lee to go with something different.

I sent Doug a copy of my PDF on Converting the Alpine. In it the 4 BBL Holley 390 was recommended.

My signature element has a link to some of my Documentation for the various aspects of the Cologne V6 in an Alpine.

Give it a read, if you haven't! Tell me what you think! I'm open for suggestions,

I was just remembering Ole Olson's 1954 Alpine with Volvo engine in it. I did a search online and it looks like it might be owned by Ron Stein. Is he on this board? Anyone know him?

I was friends with Ole, and helped his wife a bit when he passed. I wish I bought Ole's white Alpine. Where is that car now?
