What's this bolt from auto-transmission?

I have the Borg Warner automatic transmission on my recently acquired 65 Sunbeam and I removed the transmission oil pan and found a piece of bolt sitting in the bottom. Anyone familiar with these transmissions and have a guess as to where it came from? (see pics)lower.jpg

Looking at the head of this piece made me think of a rivet, like at the end of a band attachment, but the appearance of threads in photo #2 ???.
I guess I don't know .
Sorry

I suggest you find an illustrated parts breakdown of the BW35 and scan for a part that LOOKS LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE ....

When I click the image links, I come to another forum page indicating I am not logged in or do not have sufficient privileges to access the page.

Anyways, regarding DanR's suggestion, the Alpine Parts manual has the detailed diagrams of the automatic transmission in section H (starts at page 146 in the searchable PDF version posted to the SAOCA site - http://www.sunbeamalpine.org/downloads/Alpine parts manual SI-SV searchable.pdf).
