So I got this 16' POS trailer or should I say frame, shortened it to 14' put new tires, wheels, hubs, brakes, and a new coupler, needed to change the wheelbase as I shortened it so welded a couple pieces of scrap to the axles unbolted them jacked the frame up rolled the axles forward new hangers good to go. Might yet make it a dove tail ease of loading!IMG_20200224_161906422.jpg

Procraft, dove tailing the back would be a good idea. My car only clears by an inch at the trailer and ramps, I had to angle the last 6 inches of the trailer to get that and that is with 4 inch drop axles. The down side with my trailer with drop axles is the doors will not open, even if I remove the fender.

Looking good, it looks like you will be able to open the doors on the car without hitting the fenders.

Nice work buddy!
Are you going to put something to prevent someone from stepping on top of the lights?

I assume that since you left the gap in the center this is meant to trailer a British Car like a Sunbeam?
Slot for the oil to drain?:)

Good one! I'm probably going to only put down what I need for the track width , I just fit all the planks, the car doesn't leak seeing as it's a SBF.

Looks nice and appears to be quite light. Do you even need ramps, or do you just crank the front end to put the rear of the trailer on the ground?

I dovetailed the back to a six foot ramp, then I removed the last stringer and lowered it to the same angle which made the angle further forward, well still need ramps, I calculated the weight from the material used in the frame, wheels etc etc etc before I moved the axles forward to change the tongue weight,1000# 124# tongue I weighed the tongue with a scale I have, hopefully it's close well find out the first road trip, maybe haul gravel for the drive.
